Meridian M4 Base — GNSS Reference Station Antenna

Navigation Module

Meridian M4 Base

Meridian M4 Base is the fixed end of the system. It is the reference antenna for a geodetic base station or a precise positioning network, and everything else in the field is measured relative to it — so its own stability sets the ceiling on the accuracy of every rover it serves.

The element sits above a large machined ground plane with an azimuth scale around the rim, which suppresses multipath from the surrounding structure and lets the antenna be oriented repeatably when it is installed or re-installed. The result is a phase centre that stays where it was surveyed.

Key Features

  • Large machined ground plane for multipath rejection at low elevation angles
  • Azimuth graduation around the rim for repeatable orientation on installation
  • Phase centre stability suited to continuous reference station operation
  • Multi-band GNSS reception across the constellations used for network RTK
  • Built for permanent outdoor installation on a pillar, mast or building

Applications

Geodetic base stations

Permanent reference marks feeding RTK corrections to field crews.

CORS and network RTK

Continuously operating stations within a precise positioning network.

Deformation monitoring

Long-term monitoring installations where millimetre drift matters.
